Every so often, I will take the time to remind my readers of a very important thing to remember. Always learn about the herbs you plan to use. Check to see if they have toxicity levels and if they have any drug interactions. This will help you become an educated natural remedy user. It is vitally important that you learn a little about whatever it is you plan on using to heal your body.
Having a Rosemary plant in your yard can be so incredibly helpful. Not only is fresh rosemary a wonderful herb to put in soups and use in roasting chicken but it has super health benefits as well. It can regulate your circulatory system, nervous system, and of course for getting rid of troublesome and painful migraines. Topically it can also be used on burns, bites and muscle or joint pain
Winter time is perfect for the use of peppermint. Peppermint in your cocoa, making peppermint candies, fresh mint tea, etc. is a great way to utilize the many benefits from this little plant. Internally peppermint can fix your digestive problems such as heartburn, intestinal discomfort, indigestion, bloating and gas. But, it goes even further to help ease the pain and irritation of stomach ulcers. Topically it can be used to treat and eliminate many skin problems and acne because of its antibacterial properties.
Garlic is one of those spices that I use in almost everything. You don't have to use a lot to give something flavor. Using garlic on meats is a fantastic way to enhance the natural flavors. But, fresh garlic in sauces and with butter on bread or seafood is unbeatable! But what can all this garlic use do for your health? Well probably the best things it can do for you is reducing your risk of, and treat if you already have, heart disease and hyper tension. Don't forget it is also wonderful for your liver!
T’is the cold and flu season. So what can you do to help ease your sickness? Make some soup and use basil. Basil has medicinal properties that treat all sorts of abdominal problems as well as cold and flu symptoms including coughs and fevers. No matter the type of soup you make basil offers a wonderful aroma and taste. Not to mention its ability to relieve heartburn in sensitive people. Always keep some basil growing in your window or in your greenhouse as fresh basil is much better, and more potent, to use that dried.
