Health Benefits of Food- Broccoli

Broccoli
Broccoli is the highest cancer fighting vegetable
Broccoli is one of the best vegetables that we have. Why? Because it ranks the highest in all cancer fighting foods. So how does it work to prevent cancer? Besides being in the cabbage family (cabbage has high cancer fighting properties.) It also has other medicinal purposes as well.
•Broccoli has a significant amount of carotene, a nutrient that also prevents cancer by itself.
•It contains more vitamin C then you need daily-so it also helps fight against viruses etc.
•This vegetable also happens to be high in calcium which is yet another nutrient that according to studies help prevent cancer.
•Because it contains nearly no fat at all the risks of breast cancer, colon cancer, prostate cancer as well as many other organs are slim to none.

Interesting to know about this.

I always love broccoli. I like it steamed with carrots as well. ^_^

Speaking of cancer fighting. I just heard a news that two men are attempting to row a 24 foot ply-wood boat with only 2 oars to propel them across Atlantic Ocean.

This is for Cancer Research fund in UK.

So many healthy foods that you 'bring to the table'. Is it more a preventive thing that generations in the future will need to embrace, you think?

I think so. The best way to fight any disease is to prevent it. I think that our society has become too comfortable with fast food and junk food. It seems as though common sense has been replaced with convenience.

If more people cared about their children and began feeding them the foods that I mention here instead of cheeseburgers and french fries, then it wouldn't be so difficult to improve the quality of life for future generations.

"Prevention is better than cure"

But how many are following it?
