Medicinal Nature - Manda Spring

Catnip

September 13th 2011 19:41

Now that autumn is almost with us, the fleas will be dying off for the winter. Next spring, though, they’ll return with their usual tenacity. One of the best natural ways to limit your flea population is with catnip. It contains nepetalactone, which is a natural insecticide. Having a few catnip plants in your garden or near your home might well cut down on flea problems. Cats, especially love the stuff. Tea made from catnip can be used indoors to discourage fleas, too.
