Medicinal Nature - Manda Spring

Healthy Recipes: Meats

August 7th 2008 19:53
When cooking meats you always need to trim the fat all the way off of it. Rubbing in seasonings are a good idea for grilling on the barbeque. I do not like to fry foods except as a treat once or twice a month if at all. Grilling on a surface where all the remaining fatty juices is taken from the meat and removed is my preferred method of cooking.

When choosing seasonings to rub into the meat try sea salt instead of regular and if you really want the regular salt, be sure to get iodized. Never use too much but just enough to enhance the flavors of the meat. Garlic, rosemary and tarragon are fine choices in seasoning for almost every meat but it really depends on your taste. Do some research and think about the flavors you like as well as the health benefits they’ll provide you.
