Herbs for Winter Ailments

September 13th 2010 14:57

Here are a handful of the best medicinal herbs to have on hand during the winter season. Stay healthy!

Ginger: will help alleviate the nausea associated with a variety of winter ailments. It has antimicrobial and anti-viral properties.

Horehound: is a GREAT herbs to make lozenges out of. I have written about it on Medicinal Nature before. I recommend that if you have not yet read it, make sure that you do. These tasty hard candies can save the day when you get the coughs.

Mint: will help with a vast array of ailments from respiratory issues, sore throats, coughing and nasal complaints.

Lemon Balm: can help get rid of those nasty viruses. This plant is an anti-viral and has a very pleasant odor and taste.
