Medicinal Nature - Manda Spring

Lady Bugs

November 3rd 2011 16:50

Everyone has seen ladybugs outdoors. In some places, the ladybugs also get indoors! In the central United States, they can be a serious problem twice a year. If you live near a ladybug nest, they will inhabit your home in the spring and again in the fall.

Ordinarily, ladybugs are inoffensive guests and congregate around doors and windows. The have been known to wind up all over the kitchen (even in uncovered food!).

If you have rosebushes, ladybugs are great to keep around, since aphids are a favorite food to them. In the spring this can help you solve one insect problem with another. It isn’t difficult to collect the little red creatures into a jar or paper bag and release them into the roses.
