Medicinal Nature - Manda Spring

Oaks From Acorns Grow

October 20th 2011 18:07

Oak trees dot the landscape pretty much everywhere. They give shade in the summer and make a leafy mess is the fall. Native Americans used the oak for many things. They ate the acorns (ground into flour), took shelter under the branches, and used the dead-falls for firewood.

Remember the value of the acorn and the mighty oak while you’re raking the leaves this fall.
