Planting a Medicinal Garden: St John ’s Wort

July 7th 2008 16:17

St John’s Wort is probably one of the most useful herbs for anti depressants that I have ever heard of. But it doesn’t just help relieve depression and anxiety. This herb is much desired for my medicinal garden because I love to make teas and bath bags for friends and relatives. This one is especially useful during tough times when loss occurs or similar problems arise.

St. John’s Wort promotes restful sleep, improves capillary circulation, relieves depression and anxiety, fights retroviruses, increases cardiac circulation, eases gastrointestinal distress, and last but certainly not least it relieves discomfort associated with PMS.

This sounds great!

But can it survive in all climates?

Hi Jessicca! Actually is does gret in temperate climates but for colder regions or those with highly unpredictable weather a quick and cheap make shift greehouse would be perfect to grow what ever you want.
