Chemicals and Hormones are Changing our Children
September 1st 2008 14:44
Before 1990 puberty in girls of around 8 years old happened few and far between. It was very rare. But now days it is considered normal. There are many girls that are experiencing puberty at age 5 and 7 years of age! What is more alarming is that the amount of estrogen in these girls is linked to breast cancer. So, why is this happening?
Many hormones are no added to cows to produce more lactation to generate more product/profit; this hormone has been found fluently in dairy foods… do you feed your baby or child dairy? We all do.
Soy foods and soy infant formula, are loaded with estrogen. The formula alone is exactly like giving your baby 5 birth control pills a day which each have concentrated levels of estrogen.
Teflon, Bisphenol A: these are things that line soda cans, bottles, pots and pans etc.
So, the moral of this story is for mom’s to breast feed, use glass bottles and jars to store foods and don’t by processed foods, grow your own or buy locally grown foods that you trust. Do a little research about the food products you buy and show your children that they are worth the effort.

Our erstwhile politicians think too much of money matters and not much of anything else, unfortunately.

I know soy isn't the wonder food that people have made it out to be. It is one of the foods that can cause a huge number of allergies in children. It's right up there with peanuts.

Katyzzz, too right!
Johnny, soy has a lot of phytoestrogens in it so that is a main concern there. My doctor gave me research and according to the paper right here in front of me the stats include 1999 which say roughly 50% of African Americans and 15% Caucasian Americans were reaching puberty at age 8/ In 1990 and before puberty this early was extremely rare. - For more info check out these links:

Good thinking Sandy! I think we could all take a lesson from you in that area.
