Medicinal Nature - Manda Spring

Wild Plants with Medicinal Qualities: Part 10

Mugwort, yet another member of the sunflower family, has very aromatic leaves covered in white hairs on the bottom but free of hair on the top. This is an identifiable trait. It is used primarily externally for poison oak cure and to relieve swelling of a wound. It is also good for healing bruises rapidly.

Some of these herbs have really strange names! Do you know where the names come from? Just curious.
