Medicinal Nature - Manda Spring

Wild Plants with Medicinal Qualities: Part 7

December 20th 2007 05:45
Western Black Nightshade or White Nightshade, a plant containing Belladonna which is used for a variety of medicinal reasons, produces berries that are harvested for food. The berries contain little to no toxic properties so consumption can often times be great depending on the way they are served. Eating green berries or raw portions of this plant can be detrimental however and even deadly as the amounts of Belladonna can be great serving as a poison instead of an aid for ailments. Use great care with ALL members of the Nightshade family.
