Winter Remedies

Look your best this winter. If you have family coming in to visit, or if attend or go to many Christmas parties and events like I do then you’ll need to take care of your self to look and feel your best.
Here are some beauty tricks:
First, cut down on the calories, I know it’s hard with all of the yummy treats and dandy delights but try.
Drink 10-12 glasses of water a day, seriously.. you'll feel great!
Drink at least 3 cups a day of strong green tea.
Eat loads of fiber. If your diet doesn’t allow much room for at least two meals filled with fiber then I suggest a fiber supplement.
Exercise daily even if it is just a short run to the end of your street! Get that blood pumping!
Use all natural facial masks like mixing bananas and strawberries, with a little peppermint.
Use highly concentrated green tea to wipe your face with each and every night after cleansing to tighten those pores and retain that youthful look.
Exfoliate your skin before any party or event with sugar and olive oil.
Make a good cream for your skin to avoid that winter itch, dryness and burning. Combine vitamin E, aloe as your daily and nightly lotion and bathe in milk baths with lavender and chamomile at night.

I love you exfoliate suggestion.
Well done with some simple, natural, succinct advice.
Thanks, Manda, we're into summer over here but everyone will have to deal with Christmas.

For firmer applications that you can make actually sticks with via old chapstick or lipstick tubes you need to use equal parts of beeswax and oil. Personally I like olive oil because it is the healthier option but some prefer vegetable oil. A great way to scent or flavor these mixtures is to add an essential oil but only a few drops are needed- adding after the 2 ingredients have been melted together thoroughly in a double boiler. I recommend a double boiler because it helps avoid and scorching or burning during the process.
For a softer application, especially foe troubled or chapped lips I recommend a very small amount of beeswax mixed with aloe and vitamin e. this provides a gloss of sorts that has a high sheen while also medicating and is generally applied with the tip of your finger.
Depending on how much you are desiring to make you'll need to play around with the amounts but it is always good to start with only a couple of table spoons (of ingredients) or less so you don't make too much.
